Since I run an off road motorcycle oriented business I end up with a bunch of pretty cool pieces of junk. Usually its cheaper to replace the damaged component for the customer. I’ll keep it if the customer does not want the old parts and if its of interest to me. That’s how I got this rear hub, the sprocket side bearings had damaged the hub. Just plain poor maintenance but I put the fix to it for the DMS and I had a matching new front hub too. These are mid 90’s Honda CR hubs, strong and light and they kept the basic design the same for a long time, they just plain worked well! The drum brake version for my bike will be the 1979 YZ400 front end assembly and the rear drum will be a 1985 Honda CR Rear hub, This was the peak of drum brake technology before going to discs for the Asian brands.
